About us

 Exploring the local nature

The Academy of Nature in Roztocze was established with the aim of exploring the local nature in active forms. During our field expeditions, we aim to showcase the beauty of the fauna and flora of one of Poland's most precious natural regions, which is Roztocze. This region is distinguished by the richness of breeding bird species inhabiting forests, fields, meadows, water bodies, as well as migratory or overwintering birds.

The overarching goal of our activities is to respect the principles of nature conservation, particularly the protection of birds and their habitats, and to adhere to the regulations and rules applicable in protected areas.
As part of our offerings, we propose birdwatching in two forms of activity: bird observation during cycling expeditions (Bird&Bike) and during car expeditions (Bird&Car). We organize expeditions in the area of the Roztocze National Park and its buffer zone, the town and municipality of Zwierzyniec, as well as other interesting places in the Lublin region.
Your guides will be experienced naturalists who are intimately familiar with the terrain, distinguished by a great passion for birdwatching, open to relationships with nature, and sensitive to its beauty.

A biologist, naturalist, explorer, educator – a nature trainer for many generations. Actively works for the conservation of birds and local nature (a member of the Polish Society for the Protection of Birds and the League for the Protection of Nature). Organizer of authorial field expeditions for adults in several national parks in Poland, including, among others, the Białowieża and Pieniny National Parks. The curiosity of exploring the nature of Poland and the world is her lifelong passion.

For years, she has been in love with Roztocze, where she observes and photographs birds. She wishes to share her acquired knowledge of nature and wants to showcase the diversity of bird species - the most precious treasures of Roztocze.

Ania is an experienced car driver and holds qualifications as a cycling tourism instructor. Privately, she lives in Zwierzyniec.

Why does she showcase the local nature? Because she loves it and wants to preserve its most precious treasures, which are birds, for future generations.
