Rules for participation in expeditions (Bird & Bike)

 

  1. The main purpose of bicycle trips is birdwatching.
  2. During bicycle trips, birds may be photographed, provided that the rules of nature protection, in particular those relating to the protection of birds and their habitats, are respected.
  3. Bicycle tours are organized in groups of maximum 4 people, minimum 2 people.
  4. The organizer may organize an individual (exclusive) expedition with a smaller number of people.
  5. Bicycle tours are aimed at adults. The expedition may be attended by a child over 10 years of age who has a bicycle card and is at the same time under the care of parents / legal guardians.
  6. The duration of the trip is approximately 3-4 hours.
  7. The time of a bicycle trip may be extended or shortened depending on weather conditions or for other independent reasons.
  8. The organizer provides participants with free binoculars for the bicycle trip.
  9. Participant of a bicycle trip must have:
    a) a technically efficient bicycle (functional brakes, inflated tires, a bell, lighting, functional gears).
    b) helmet - recommended for safety reasons,
    c) clothes suitable for the current and forecast weather conditions, preferably no rustling and in subdued (masking) colors.
  10. Participant of a bicycle trip should be able to use a bicycle efficiently.
  11. Each participant of a bicycle trip is obliged to know and obey road traffic regulations.
  12. During bicycle trips, we adhere to the following rules:
    a) we follow the instructions of the expedition guide,
    b) we do not overtake the guide,
    c) we move in a compact group, keeping a safe distance,
    d) we drive holding the steering wheel with both hands (apart from the turn signaling)
    e) we do not use phones while driving and during the trip, except in emergency situations, such as getting lost,
    f) we do not enter other participants of the trip,
    g) we do not drive too fast (we adjust the speed to our skills and road conditions, especially paying attention to keeping a safe distance),
    h) we do not cross the lanes on a bicycle, but get off the bicycle and take it to the other side of the street,
    i) during bicycle trips we do not consume alcohol and do not smoke cigarettes (including electronic cigarettes),
    j) we always give way to pedestrians,
    k) the participant of the expedition cannot be under the influence of: alcohol, intoxicants, other substances that prevent cycling,
    l) and most importantly, we keep silence due to the observed birds.
  13. Cycling trips are organized in the early morning hours and their commencement depends on the sunrise, so you can take a hot drinks and possibly food.
  14. On the eve of the planned bicycle trip, the organizer informs participants about:
    a) the exact start time of a given bicycle trip,
    b) the possible cancellation of the trip, in the case of insufficient number of participants,
    c) cancellation of the expedition for reasons beyond the control of the organizer (e.g. unfavorable weather conditions).
  15. It is possible to change the date of a bicycle trip, if it is canceled for reasons beyond the control of the organizer or the lack of a minimum number of participants.
  16. Participants of bicycle trips are required to comply with the regulations and rules of conduct in force in protected areas (eg in the Roztocze National Park).
  17. Participants of bicycle expeditions are obliged to take care of the rented equipment (binoculars) and return it to the organizer intact after the expedition.
  18. Participants of bicycle expeditions are responsible for the damage and accidents caused by their fault towards themselves and third parties.
  19. The organizer does not insure bicycles or participants of bicycle expeditions, individual insurance is recommended in this regard.
  20. Each participant of a bicycle trip is obliged to comply with these rules.
