Bullfinch (Pyrrhula pyrrhula) is a bird from the finch family that lives mainly in spruce forests and mixed forests. In summer, bullfinches are hidden in the forest thicket, while in late autumn and winter they appear near human settlements and in feeders. Sometimes their cousins from northern Europe join them. The male bullfinch has a red belly and sides, while the female has gray spots. This colorful bird eagerly eats rowan fruit, hawthorn and dry seeds.
